SOMMOS ROBLE TINTO is a versatile modern wine that pairs perfectly with a barbecue with friends or a romantic evening.
Berries from our vineyards in Torresalas. Parcels oriented east-west protect berries from overexposure to the sun during the hottest hours of the day. High-trellised vines trained using the unilateral “cordon de royat” system. Drip irrigation. Plant density of 4,115 vines/ha with a production of 8,000 kg/ha. Soils with medium-high production levels are controlled by natural ground cover.
The last week of August and the first week of September. Mechanical night harvest.
All grapes undergo selection at the sorting table. Fermentation in stainless steel deposits with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature between 26°C and 28°C. Malolactic fermentation in cement tanks.
Lees ageing and stirring for four months.
Colour: Highly intense purple with an indigo rim.
Nose: Very intense aromatics give off initial toasted and mild smoky notes that give way to red (raspberry) and black fruits (black currant and blackberries), all structured with fresh aromas including sage and mint.
Palate: Lush on the palate with sweet, rich tannins that fill the mouth with silky sensations. The wine’s acidity gives it a long finish
Serving Temperature: 14º to 16ºC.
