The 2026 edition of the Guia Peñin, one of Spain’s most prestigious wine publications, has awarded over 90 points to all the wines from our Sommos Garnacha winery.
Located in Murero (Zaragoza), the winery is dedicated exclusively to produce single-varietal Garnacha wines from old vines. It is a project with a strong identity, shaped by clay and slate soils, an extreme continental climate, steep hillside vineyards, and naturally low yields — all of which define the character of our wines.
The scores were as follows: 91 points for Alquez 2021 and Lamin 2020, 92 points for Tiaso 2021, and 93 points for Araia 2021.
In the Guia Peñin, wines are blind-tasted by a panel of experts, and only those that stand out for their quality, expression, and balance surpass the 90-point threshold.
For us, this recognition is a clear sign that we are on the right path. The work in the vineyard, precision in the cellar, and our commitment to Garnacha as a unique variety are bearing fruit.
